get to know me
Expert in autobiographical genres. Passionate about making space for sensitive souls and neurodivergent learners. Always burning incense and putting my nervous system first.
Hi, I'm Lauren.
I hold a PhD in English Literature and have taught at top UK universities. My calling is to facilitate deep and meaningful engagement with the self and literature, in tandem. My workshops and personalised tutoring blend personal reflection with literary study to create a sacred and empowering space for your intellectual and inner growth.
Made for introverts, neurodivergent minds, highly sensitive people, big feelers, and deep thinkers.
If these thoughts feel familiar, you're exactly where you need to be. This is the sacred container you've been searching for - where your intellect and inner world can finally thrive together.
My signature approach blends rigorous literary study with gentle inner work, creating space for both intellectual depth and personal transformation
Access this methodology at your own pace through workshops or dive deeper with personalised 1:1 support.
Learn narrative techniques, close reading and critical thinking skills and explore diverse literary themes and genres, with Dr Lauren Cooper's expertise and quirky, hot-topic thematic curricula that you can't find at any university.
Connect deeply with texts through guided journaling and creative exercises that build confident self-expression and self-understanding.
Learn in a trauma-informed space where breathwork, music therapy, and self-care practices support your growth—because your wellbeing matters as much as your learning.
If you're feeling something stir as you read this, that's your inner knowing. Take a moment with that feeling. When you're ready to begin, I'd love to explore how we can work together.
You're craving more time to reflect and reconnect with your inner world and who you truly are, and know that you'll do this best in a safe and sacred container with gentle structure and a compassionate guide.
You're ready to expand your reading and journaling practices to embrace more of your hidden creativity and emotional depth.
You're always looking for yourself in books, trying to understand why you are the way you are, and find yourself deeply (over)identifying with characters.
You scribble down quotes to return to for solace, validation & inspiration.
You're deeply empathetic, sensitive and often in existential crisis. Reading helps you understand and connect with others, and helps make sense of your human experience.

"Every book you take
and you dust off from the shelf
has lines between lines between lines
that you read about yourself"
My soul's purpose is to make space for sensitive souls like you and I, because our empathy, insights and creativity are important, personally and politically. We can only soften, heal and change this world if we have space to (gently) thrive.
I am honoured to be able to do this work through independent tutoring and my holistic methodology for literary study and self-reflection. I can't wait to connect with you, fellow sensitive soul, and create a sacred space for you, your books and your growth.
Throughout my own struggles, literature has been my constant, getting me through the darkest experiences. As I've spent decades trying to understand and heal myself, journaling and self-care have become just as integral to my existence, and I deeply believe that I am on this planet to share these tools.
I have first-hand experience of navigating the world (and academia) as a highly sensitive and neurodivergent person. The world hasn't been built for us and just existing in it can be draining.
I’d love to connect and have an informal chat about how I could support you.
